Parinirvana Day
Sadhana of Mahamudra Feast and Exhibit

Monday, April 4
Exhibit: 12pm-5:50pm, in-person
Feast: 6:00pm, in-person and on Zoom

On this day, all Shambhala Archives community and friends are invited to practice The Sadhana of Mahamudra, including the feast offering.  This is to commemorate the passing of the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, founder of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage, on April 4, 1987.

The feast practice is usually for a restricted attendance, but is open to all on this special occasion.  Those attending on Zoom should have some food and drink ready for the part of the practice where we all eat together.  In the shrine room we will be serving torma, meat, and sake, and everyone should bring other foods for themselves, we are not resuming pot-luck serving at this time.

This will be offered both in-person and online. Please register for your choice of in-person or on Zoom. We will share the text on screen for those who do not have their own.  There will be toasts and a video of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche teaching, courtesy of Shambhala archives.

Parinirvana Day Exhibit

The Vidydhara said in his will, that because he had never acquired any of his personal belongings frivolously, they could be seen as educational for future practitioners. In honour of his life and Parinirvana on April 4th, Shambhala Archives invites you to view some of these artifacts at the Shambhala Centre.

The exhibit will take place in the Garuda Room on the upper floor of the Shambhala Centre from noon to just before the Feast, 5:50 pm.

All are welcome!

Thank You
